The major sporting venues around New South Wales host events large and small with accessibility, catering and entertainment facilities to suit a few or thousands of people.

SYDNEY OLYMPIC PARK

Sydney Olympic Park is a unique precinct located in the geographical centre of Sydney and is home to some of Australia's best sporting and entertainment venues. Each of the venues is multi-purpose in nature, equipped to handle meetings of less than a dozen people to events of over 80 000. Venues for hire include:

Parramatta Stadium 

ParramattaThe Stadium has a fully seated capacity of 20 000 and is suitably located near major train and bus links. Parramatta Stadium is available for hire for sporting events, concerts, trade shows and exhibitions, community events, film and television shoots and other suitable activities. The Stadium has suites of varying sizes available for function hire. The suites are ideal for boardroom-style meetings, training sessions and presentations.

Sydney International Equestrian Centre

SIECOutdoor arenas include, dressage arenas, grassed arenas, a 1.1km steeplechase track, full cross-country facilities, 300 stables, wash bays and lunging rings, camping facilities, 40 accommodation rooms and a new mess facility together with well-lit all-weather roads and parking areas. The Equestrian Centre is available for all equestrian events, tradeshows, exhibitions and community activities.

Sydney International Shooting Centre

SISCThe Sydney International Shooting Centre, Cecil Park, consists of a fully enclosed 10m range, partially covered (standing position) outdoor 25m and 50m ranges, a finals range and outdoor clay target ranges. The Centre also has a conference room, clubroom and a large concourse with facilities for corporate and club meetings and large or small social events. Amenities include permanent seating for 1250. Athlete services include showers, change rooms and secure storage areas. All ranges and spectator areas have been designed to cater to those with special needs.

Dunc Gray Velodrome, Bankstown

VelodromeThe Dunc Gray Velodrome is a world-class cycling facility and a multi-purpose venue suitable for concerts, exhibitions, trade shows and functions. The infield area can be configured for rollerskating and other sports. The Velodrome has a seating capacity of over 3100. Support facilities including change rooms and meeting rooms are available. People with disabilities are catered for with fully accessible wheelchair and companion seating.

Sydney International Regatta Centre

Sydney International Regatta CentreThe Sydney International Regatta Centre, Penrith Lakes, is set on 196 hectares of native and landscaped parkland and is renowned as one of the best rowing and sprint kayak courses in the world. The venue also accommodates other events of international standard, including long distance swimming, triathlon, coarse angling, dragon boat regattas, handcycling, and wakeboarding. Whitewater Stadium, Penrith Lakes

Penrith_WhitewaterPenrith Whitewater Stadium is a man-made whitewater river that was the competition venue for the canoe/kayak-slalom events during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. It is now a major sporting and recreation facility for Greater Western Sydney. The Stadium can cater for up to 10 000 spectators.

Blacktown Olympic Park

BlacktownBlacktown Olympic Park boasts a number of first-rate sporting venues including baseball, softball and athletics sites. The baseball and softball facilities each have world-class floodlit diamonds and covered grandstands for over 1000 people. The Athletics precinct, with a fully floodlit, all-weather track and dedicated throwing fields, is capable of hosting a range of sports. Amenities include conference rooms, first aid and drug testing rooms, canteens, change rooms and accessibility features for people with a disability.

Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre

RydeThe Ryde Aquatic Leisure Centre hosted all preliminary water polo matches during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. The Centre provides an extensive range of water rides, activities and swimming in two pools as well as offering a multi-purpose two court indoor stadium.

NEWCASTLE

Energy Australia Stadium

EnergyEnergy Australia Stadium has a seating capacity of 6000 including 180 corporate boxes, and has a total crowd capacity of 25 000. It is home ground to the Newcastle Knights, the 1997 and 2001 premiers in the NRL competition, and is also home to Newcastle United Soccer Club in the NSL.

The Hunter International Sports Centre Trust, which manages the stadium and surrounding sporting facilities is in the process of rebuilding and modernising the stadium with funding provided by the NSW Government and is awaiting matching funding from the Federal Government.The new stadium will have the capacity and facilities to host major sporting events, trade shows, community functions, large or small, and large musical concerts.

Newcastle Entertainment Centre 

Newcastle_ECThe Newcastle Entertainment Centre offers 5000 square metres of clear span floor space and has a capacity of 6197 for entertainment-style events. CENTRAL COAST 

Central Coast Stadium

CentralCoastStadiumCentral Coast Stadium plays host to major sporting events throughout the year and has the capacity to seat 20 000 spectators.  It is a purpose built rugby league field, but it can be used for soccer and rugby union and a range of community events.  It can also be configured for baseball and softball games as a removable stand is part of the design. Rail and bus facilities are situated nearby.

WOLLONGONG

 

WIN Stadium

WIN_StadiumWIN Stadium is designed as a multi-purpose facility with the ability to host a variety of sporting or special events. The venue holds approximately 19 500 people. There are four change rooms, a first aid room, referees room, merchandise area, 32 corporate boxes plus additional corporate areas with 22 enclosed spaces. The stadium has a fully equipped gymnasium and caters for disabled guests.

WIN Entertainment Centre, Wollongong

WIN_ECThe Wollongong Entertainment Centre is a multi-purpose staging facility for sporting, entertainment, exhibition, conference and recreational events. With a maximum seating capacity of 6000 patrons, the Centre has catering services, disabled access and provides support to event organisers.

BATHURST

 

Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

BathurstMount Panorama is the only active motor-racing track in Australia open to the public. Mount Panorama has been the venue for many motorcycle and car racing events including two annual endurance race meetings - the 24 Hour Procar endurance race and the 1000km V8 Supercar race.
